DNA testing and Medicare
The new GoNavigate program which combines a complete medical assessment with whole genome sequencing is not yet covered by Medicare. However, a group of leading genetics experts, the Australian Genomic Healthcare Alliance, is considering a national approach for a proposal to fund genomic testing through Medicare.
