Dr Cherri Ryan

Dr Cherri Ryan is an experienced medical educator and clinician who brings more than 20 years of expertise to the Life First team. She has worked extensively across both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and is deeply committed to helping people understand their health through evidence-based guidance. Dr Ryan completed a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and a Graduate Certificate in Health Studies (Community Child and Adolescent Health) at the University of Queensland, before specialising in General Practice and attaining Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2001. She spent 17 years working in clinical medicine before moving into education and writing. At Life First, Dr Ryan supports the delivery of high-quality, in-person assessments through her strong background in children’s health, respiratory health and the design and continuous improvement of effective medical education. She has also worked with organisations such as Asthma Australia and Lung Foundation Australia, and holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Outside her clinical and teaching work, she has contributed as a health columnist and is the author of children’s stories and junior non-fiction.
